HISTORY
1990-1994
Designers B. Janek and T. Fecko invented and built a new unique high-precision reduction gear. The impulse for its development was the elimination of operational deficiencies of industrial robots.
1994
The company was established.
1995
The first international patent for a reduction gear, named TwinSpin®, was awarded by the European Patent Office in Munich.
1995
TwinSpin® was presented to the public for the first time at an international mechanical engineering fair in Hannover.
1997
The first production plant was built on a green field.
1997
T Series was introduced on the market.
2000
Start of serial production.
SPINEA complied with international criteria and was awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certificate by the International Certification Company RWTUV.
2001
H Series was launched on the market.
2003
E Series was launched on the market.
2006
RotoSpin® was launched on the market.
2007
Growth required repeated investments into technologies, which resulted in the opening of a second production plant.
2008
SPINEA became a member of the EUnited Robotics association
DriveSpin® was launched on the market.
2009
M Series was launched on the market.
2010
Company became a member of the VDMA.
2011
SPINEA passed through the procedure of recertification and received the ISO 9001:2009 certificate.
2012-2014
Extensive investment has brought expansion, with the new production hall and the purchase of further modern technologies with the objective to increase the annual production capacity.
2014
20th anniversary of SPINEA.
TwinSpin® G Series was launched on the market.
2015
New largest hollow-shaft actuator DSH 155 was launched on the market.
2016
New DS 095 actuator was introduced on the market for the first time at the sps ipc drives international fair. This model is a representative of the latest DriveSpin® actuator series in non-hollowshaft design that combines high-precision G Series gearbox, a wide variety of sensors, motors and brakes.
2018
SPINEA became a member of the MCMA - Motion Control and Motor association in USA.
2019
SPINEA started operation in a new plant in Haniska ( district of Presov)
2020
New actuator DSI series was launched on the market.
2021
The company successfully continues its business activities around the world after weathering the global economic crisis caused by the COVID 19 coronavirus pandemic.
2022
SPINEA was acquired by TIMKEN - a global leader in bearing manufacturing.
